RE: Heated Sewer Hose

They aren't cheap but seem to be a no brainer solution to freezing lines. I have some buddies that are buying all the heat tape, hose, ty wraps and I think they will end up with a mess before its all done. There is nothing wrong with wrapping heat tape around hoses as it's been done for years with very good results.Even the hose you are looking at is wrapped with a type of heat tape or i would think so as it says "We give you the option to have the electrical plug at either end of the hose."

RE: How much bed rail clearance?

You might try a 2" shorter spacer to gain 2" between your truck and 5th wheel or you can lower the front of the 5th wheel so it will ride level as well. When not loaded the truck will look just as good but it's one option to think about.

RE: How much bed rail clearance?

ValkSmile, have you considered changing the spring spacer blocks on the rear of your truck yet?,some people have done that with good results.

RE: Interesting news report on "new" tires

I would imagine 1000's upon 1000's of people don't know how to read the date code on tires.I like to deal with dealers that stand behind the store policy regardless of the tire manufactures warranty. My wife has had two defferent set of tires replaced with no questions asked but she had to pay a pro-rate fee which wasn't that much.I think it does make a difference if you can deal with your local tire dealer on all your tires instead of shopping for the bargain dealer which will most likely blow you off when needed.

RE: Securing Chairs

We just turn them sideways and when the slides are in they can't go anywhere. We can get to everything but the back recliners with the slides in. Same here.

RE: 5er's With King Size Bed

Our 3370 Bighorn had the king but i had them cut the plywood down to a full queen and gave them the king mattress. We already had a full queen air mattress and we put it in this one.We don't mind sleeping close to each other. :)

RE: Wheels on Keystone Cougars-You need this info

When i had a cougar 296EFS it came with 16" wheels.I bet you could trade those tires/rims towards your new ones.

RE: Recliner Sofa

We found a double recliner at Ashley's furniture a some years ago.I can't remember the measurements but it didn't have the outside levers,it had pull rings on the inside of the arm rests. * I just found These Loveseats on Ashleys website however i think they are all 67" wide.If one will work just make sure it has the inside pulls.

RE: He hit my trailer I can't believe it

tjar66,so he sounds about 80 and your guessing his age by the sound of his voice ?.Maybe the guy just woke up or maybe that's his normal 60 year old voice. For the rest of you it isn't that hard for tj to ask the manager who is parked next to him and explain to manager why tj needs a way to contact that gentleman. In some states as stated, police wont take reports on private property incidents. What would i do in this situation ?,probably throw a fit as soon as i saw it same as you did.Settle down and think about it as i don't think the gentleman is going to run away to avoid paying for it.You could contact a dealer or independent and have them come look at the damage to see if it can be fixed, repaired or needs to be replaced and the cost.Call the gentleman and have him meet you at your camper and let him see what happened. No need for you to contact your insurance company if he agrees to pay for it out of his pocket or he contacts his insurance company. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Thinking again

I don't know why but i just realized i don't have a generator.I have been thinking about a small 110v air compressor and am thinking of a small gen to operate it.The honda EU1000 seems to be perfect but now i'm thinking why not go to the EU2000.Another reason for the 2000 is if i decide at a later time i can add another EU2000 and co-phase them.Anything wrong with my thinking ?.

RE: RAM 3500 mega cab dually to pull 5th wheel??

Will a fuel tank, 40 to 60 gallon fit in front of the hitch ?,something to consider when thinking about buying a sb.I want a mc for the extra room in the back seat and have talked to the company about a longbed conversion several times.I like my longbed qc but don't like the room in the backseat and i'm not sure i want to deal with a 20 to 22" longer truck.

RE: Be Careful Out There - Man Crushed Between 5th Wheel & Truck

After reading the article i'm thinking he could of been leaning over the side rail or tailgate before letting the jacks down.I don't think the pin can be pulled with the weight sitting on the jacks. It's still a bad situation with whatever happened to him that day.

RE: How much stuff did you get?

Trust me...it's not how much stuff you get as part of the deal. It's what you get after the deal that counts...as in service, timely warranty follow up, etc. +1

RE: First trip to Outdoor World gettysburg, not much fun.

I think anyone who read the OP in the other thread and thinks that was typical "weight police" interference has a reading comprehension problem! I know what the op said on the other thread and i think he should of minded his own business!.The way i see it he had a few of his buddys standing with him and he wanted to impress them. The thing is,he made a total arse out of himself on his thread.I also saw a lot of people that thought the same thing. This is typical rv.net weight police dude!

RE: roof ladder strength

I might climb up the ladder to look but i wont use it to get on the roof.If i need to get on the roof then i pull a real extendable ladder from underneath.

RE: My GM 6.2 diesel is acting up. Help, please!

Have your radiator guy put a pressure test on the complete system cold and leave it while it is running and heatin up.Since you pulled all the glow plugs if it was leaking into a cylinder then one or maybe two would look different than the others. I'm sure he checked your radiator cap but try a new one.

RE: First trip to Outdoor World gettysburg, not much fun.

I don't see anything funny about this post, real or just someones fantasy story. It's not other peoples problem or right to tell other people what they can or cannot pull! I have a wife that backs me into a spot and i don't need drunks offering their suggestions or opinions. If i do have a problem then help is appricated,as long as it is constructive help. Weights are inforced by the proper authorities not the weight police on rv.net.Before you start with flaming tell me how many overloaded campers you have seen personally getting overweight tickets or caused a accident due to overweight. Now back to my popcorn.
